Cayle Cutburth is a nationally recognized leader in the field of equine dentistry and the founder of the Premier Equine Dental Institute. With a reputation built on both technical excellence and a deep respect for the horse, Cayle has dedicated his career to raising industry standards and creating pathways for future professionals through hands-on, experience-driven training.
Cayle began his professional journey at the Equine Dental School of Texas in Canyon, where he laid the groundwork for a career rooted in both science and skill. He earned certification through the International Association of Equine Dentistry (IED), then pursued advanced certification at the renowned Academy of Equine Dentistry in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. His dedication to continued learning led him to join the faculty there as a senior lecturer, where he spent two years mentoring students and deepening his own knowledge.

Over the course of his career, Cayle has worked on thousands of horses, gaining invaluable insight into equine behavior, anatomy, and performance care. He has also had the honor of working alongside elite industry professionals, including participating in clinics hosted by 11-time World Champion Barrel Racer Charmayne James. Known globally as one of the most respected horsewomen in the world, Charmayne emphasizes physical preparedness, mental resilience, and the highest standards of horse care—values that deeply resonate with Cayle’s own approach to dentistry and instruction.
Cayle credits much of his professional philosophy to the guidance of his long-time friend and mentor, Randy Riedinger—a true pioneer in the field of equine dentistry. Randy’s legacy includes over 40,000 horses treated, leadership in certification program development, and decades of mentorship to equine dental professionals nationwide. As a role model, Randy has significantly shaped Cayle’s approach to patient care, technical excellence, and the responsibility of teaching the next generation.
Today, through the Premier Equine Dental Institute, Cayle offers more than education—he provides mentorship, community, and a clear path to success in a demanding yet rewarding industry. His teaching style is known for being straightforward and practical, with a focus on blending foundational science with real-world application. Founder & Lead Instructor, Premier Equine Dental Institute

With over 14 years of experience and more than 1,200 horses treated annually, Zachary Rhodes brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to his role as an instructor at the Premier Equine Dental Institute. A Master Certified member of the International Association of Equine Dentistry (IAED), Zach has completed over 750 hours of formal education, including classroom instruction, hands-on training, continuing education, and a rigorous apprenticeship.
Zach’s impact on the equine dentistry field extends well beyond clinical practice. From 2017 to 2023, he served as Chairman of the IAED Government Relations Committee, where he played a key role in advocating for professional recognition and legal protections for equine dentists. Under his leadership, equine dentistry was successfully legalized in both Nevada and Utah. His advocacy contributed to similar legislative progress in Kentucky and South Dakota, reflecting his commitment to expanding access to qualified equine dental care.

Cole Davis brings a strong foundation of hands-on experience, technical precision, and a deep passion for the equine industry to his role as an instructor at the Premier Equine Dental Institute. Born and raised in Powell, Wyoming, Cole spent much of his life horseback, developing a natural connection with horses from an early age.
Cole began his formal training in equine dentistry at the Equine Gnathological Training Institute (EGTI) in 2019 and continued his advanced education through multiple sessions in 2021 and 2022, earning his C4 certification and completing certified dental work on four horses as part of his accreditation. During this time, he studied under respected mentors Zach Rhodes and Cayle Cutburth, whom he credits with shaping his approach to dentistry and preparing him to launch his own successful practice.

Since beginning his independent career, Cole has performed over 1,000 floats across 10 states, blending technical expertise with a genuine care for the horses he serves. His work has also allowed him to pursue personal passions in both travel and aviation, having worked with horses across the United States and Australia, and recently earning his private helicopter license.
Today, Cole is proud to serve on the instructional team at Premier Equine Dental Institute, helping to train the next generation of equine dental professionals and advance the standards of care within the industry.

The Whole Horse Veterinary Clinic

Dr. Groves graduated in 1981 from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been an equine veterinarian for 39 years, and horses have been her life passion.
Dr. Groves is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, (AAEP). She is also a member of WAEO, the Worldwide Association of Equine Osteopaths; and she is registered with the International Registry of Equine Osteopaths, the IREO.
She was raised in Tucson Arizona. From a very young age, she participated in 4-H activities and horseshows. At age 10 she began competing in barrel racing and junior rodeos. She was the American Junior Rodeo Association Barrel Racing Champion and the AZ State Barrel Racing Champion in 1973.

After graduating from vet school in Colorado, she learned to play polo with the local team back in Tucson. She became an honorary member of Therapeutic Riding of Tucson, donating her time to care for the horses used to help handicapped riders. She worked for another veterinarian for a year and then opened her own mobile equine practice. Dr. Groves went back to barrel racing, winning the Southern AZ Barrel Racing Championship in 1983 in two divisions, on two different horses. In 1986, she took up endurance riding. She won several first place and best condition awards between 1986 and 1994. In 1994, she won the Southwest Regional Championship 100 mile endurance ride in Williams AZ.
In 2000, she moved to Texas from Arizona. After working for a few years as a mobile vet, she opened The Whole Horse Veterinary Clinic. After a stint at learning to cut on her mare, Dr. Groves has taken up mounted archery

Dr. Shana Pinxten is a distinguished veterinarian and equine osteopath originally from Belgium. Born in 1984, she grew up on a small family farm surrounded by animals, cultivating an early love for horses and dogs. By age four, she began horseback riding, later competing in jumping and eventing. In her teenage years, she developed a passion for dog training, excelling in agility and obedience competitions.
In 2009, Dr. Pinxten graduated with honors from Ghent University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Her career began in a mixed-animal practice, where she worked with small animals, horses, cattle, and even exotic zoo animals. In 2011, she established her own veterinary clinic, Dierenarts Shana Pinxten, in Meeuwen, Belgium. Specializing in small animals and horses, she broadened her expertise with advanced therapies including hydrotherapy, laser therapy, kinesiotaping, dry needling, and nutrition.

Seeking to enhance her skills further, Dr. Pinxten earned certifications as an Equine Osteopath (EDO) and Canine Osteopath (CDO) through the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy in Germany. A dedicated educator, she also served as a teacher at the institute.
Dr. Pinxten’s passion for holistic care and innovative treatments brought her to the United States in 2023, where she joined the Whole Horse Veterinary Clinic in Garwood, Texas. There, she focuses on integrating osteopathy, ozone therapy, and acupuncture into veterinary medicine. She is committed to advancing research and educating clients and fellow veterinarians on combining holistic therapies with traditional medical practices to optimize animal health.
A proud member of the International Register of Equine Osteopaths (IREO) and the Worldwide Alliance of Equine Osteopaths (WAEO), Dr. Pinxten continues to pioneer holistic approaches to veterinary care.
